
Tara K. Bates practices in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense, family law, and personal injury law.
Attorney Bates graduated from the University of New Hampshire (B.A.) in 1991 and the University of Maine School of Law (J.D.) in 1996. Tara was admitted to the bar in Maine and New Hampshire in 1996.
Tara was an assistant district attorney in Cumberland County, and served as appellate counsel to the York County District Attorney’s Office. Tara clerked for the Office of the Chief Judge of the Maine District Court for several years.
Tara is a member of the Androscoggin County and Maine State Bar Associations, as well as the Women’s Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association. She lives in Yarmouth with her husband, daughter, son, and their dog. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and the outdoors.
